Josh Teague – Estimator
Josh joined the Truro Timber Frame team in June 2019 as our new estimator.
In his spare time josh enjoys gig rowing and has done this every weekend all over the county of Cornwall as part of the Falmouth gig club.
Craig Moore- Contracts Manager
Craig has worked his way up the ladder in the company and now is the main point of call for our clients. He is a qualified carpenter and has 18 years’ experience in timber framing. He is well organised and a great multi-tasker.
Craig enjoys extreme sports and recently quad biked across the Portuguese mountains.
Katie Irons – Office Manager
Katie is efficient and professional in everything that she does and has an accounting qualification and can be totally relied upon to work under pressure. After working in steel for 5 years Katie recently jumped across into timber frame. Katie joined the team in June 2016 and has great enthusiasm for the industry. Katie has a keen interest in cycling and recently completed the Lands End 100km.
She is continuing to study Level 4 AAT from home, whilst recently taking on the new position of office manager.
Vicky Nash – Administration Assistant
Vicky has a wealth of admin experience and has been in Cornwall for the past 5 years after moving from Bristol. Vicky has a positive energy and thrives on providing excellent customer service on every level.
In her spare time Vicky enjoys spending quality time with her family and her partner Ben, and loves taking her Pug Coco on coastal and countryside walks throughout Cornwall!
Kurt Rutherford – Timber Frame Design Manager
Kurt has extensive experience in the timber frame industry. Starting as an office junior he quickly became a fundamental part of the team who could be relied upon for support and guidance. He developed the standard detailing & procedures which aided the office in their daily tasks. Kurt also studied IT in which he still shares a passion, this has helped him develop new products within our design software and set up processes. Kurt is responsible for the timber frame design departments daily running & project management and will oversee the designs as they progress.
Kurt’s personal life is also pretty busy with a growing family, he enjoys spending quality time with his family on long walks with Blue their Border Collie, and during the summer months a day on the beach with a cider in hand is Kurt’s idea of a relaxing day!
Zach Old – Trainee Timber Frame Designer
Zach was previously working as an estate agent before a change of career led him to join the team here at Truro Timber frame Ltd, where he is extending his knowledge in a Trainee Timber Frame Design role.
Zach joined the team in July 2019 and will be working alongside our experienced designers and design manager to fulfil his desire to become a future skilled timber frame designer.
In his spare time Zach enjoys exploring Cornwall, going to the gym and has a keen interest in cooking.
Mark Strickland – Timber Frame Designer
Mark has worked in the construction Industry for most of his working life. He started as a builders’ labourer and has since gained extensive experience in all aspects of the timber frame industry from manufacturing, site construction, administration, design and technical support.
In his free time, Mark likes to take motorcycling holidays in France and is a keen amateur photographer with a particular interest in shooting Cornish landscapes and night-time skies.
Andy Stopford – Roof Truss Manager
Andy has vast experience and knowledge having worked in the roof truss industry for 35 years. He started his career as a roof truss designer and at the same time gained qualifications in Building/Engineering Studies at ONC and HNC Level. He quickly moved on to manufacturing, mainly at management level, where he is today. Andy oversees every aspect of joist and truss production, from buying materials, design/estimating and manufacturing the finished product.
Sport has always been a big part of Andy’s life, playing volleyball at National League and County level for 20 years. His main passion now is golf, which is where you will find him when he is not working!
Przemyslaw Zdziech (Chucky) – Trainee Roof Truss Designer
Przemyslaw or Chucky (as he is known here!) finished the University of Opole in Poland and earned a master of degree in education. Living in Poland he led an artistic workshop (making wooden sculptures). In the year of 2011 he moved to England, and here settled in his second home.
Sport has accompanied him his entire life. As a teenager he practiced ballroom dance, winning many trophies and medals. Later he became a dance instructor. He also cultivated acrobatics, martial arts, and table tennis. He successfully achieved British Kickboxing Champion in 2015 and vice World Champion in Kickboxing in 2016 in Dublin. Currently he spends his free time in the gym and on the field playing football. Disciplined and well organised, hard worker and professional he is continuously setting himself new challenges.
For years working with the building industry, he gained experience at workshops as operator. In 2017 he joined the Truro Timber Frame team. Initially working in the workshop as a sawyer operator he is now expanding his knowledge working in the office as a trainee roof truss designer.
Dean Birchall – Roof Truss Designer
Dean has worked within the building trade since he was 18 which has included being self-employed in building and landscaping which involved accomplishing all kinds of various projects, he has also worked within all aspects of truss manufacturing and progressed into design around 2005. He moved from Devon to Cornwall where he then joined the team here at Truro Timber Frame! Dean has succeeded a lot in his spare time from playing football in his younger years to completing the London marathon and cross country running. He is also a keen traveller and has visited many places around the world by motorbike.
Jeremy Folkes – Workshop Manager
He oversees the production to ensure quality and deadlines are both maintained. Jeremy is usually found walking around the workshop to check production and stock of materials. He is enthusiastic, hard working and a team player. Anything leaving the yard will have gone through Jez first.
Jeremy, known as Jez to friends enjoys spending quality time with his children and also a computer whiz.
Nick Winfield – Director
Nick has been in the construction industry for most of his life and began working in construction with his father. Within this period he gained invaluable experience in all aspects of the industry. Nick has a keen eye for detail and is always pushing for the best in all of TTF work. He will undertake every role within the company whether on the forklift unloading lorries, manning the controls of the mobile crane or responding to emails in the office.
Nick is a keen golfer and recently started horse riding although he admits he needs a little more practice.
Rob Winfield – Director
Rob has many years of construction knowledge and has an eye for detail and quality which in turn reflects in the timber frame packages. Rob is usually based at the hub of the business overseeing the day to day running of the factory and office. He is the go to for all staff and at the centre of the logistics for the company.
