In January we received a exciting email from the BBC!
After helping out on DIY SOS previously on a project in Cheltenham we had already worked with the team and knew the great feeling from helping others, this time we had the opportunity to help in Cornwall, in our own wonderful county.
The drawings came through and we set up a plan to achieve the dates, which were only a few weeks away.
Our dedicated workshop staff offered up their Saturday to manufacture the timber frame, with a extremely busy work schedule this was the only way to be able to complete the project, thanks to our hard working staff. Great job guys!
We managed to speak to a few of our suppliers who kindly supplied materials, and also our friend Tony Oliver Transport supplied the delivery free of charge, all these people coming together to help support a family in Cornwall.
Next we needed a team to erect the timber frame, our employees on site stepped up alongside subcontractors who gave up their day for nothing but a day of giving back to the community.
Now we had all the people in place, Richard our QS and Craig Moore our contracts manager had been to meet the DIY SOS team and had everything set ready for the first delivery.
Arriving on site at dawn with our merlo crane, all the team ready to go and a back story for all the workers of the family we were helping really motivated us to get going!
Buzzing around the site we met with the designer Gabrielle Blackman, Nick Knowles and of course the wonderful Billy!
